The other day me and my youngest daughter spent the afternoon together with a very good friend, and we had a truly interesting conversation about how the Water element is slowly disappearing from society.
We talked about how technology, which we all like, is taking over in society more and more and how it is soon not possible to pay in cash anymore. Furthermore, we agreed in always bringing cash with us if technology should fail, since this has been the case several times here in Denmark during the past year. This results in you not being able to pay at the grocery or being able to refuel your car and then cash is needed.
Then we started talking about how the social Water element is slowly being squished out of society because most people want to make use of all available shortcuts, so, for example, they can stay at home talking on distance instead of meeting each other at a physical level like most people did in ‘the good old days’. In that situation, it is the Air element that replaces the Water element by being intelligent and effective with no possibility of touching, smelling etc. each other. It is a purely mental contact method.
(An example where the Air element is trying to compensate for this would be in some cinemas where different smells in a water form are sent into people’s faces during the movie to make them experience the situation more ‘real’, which of course it’s not – it’s just the Air element’s fake way of trying to imitate the Water element.)
Last but not least, we talked about how society is being more efficient so that there are fewer jobs for young people where they can earn their own pocket money at an early age. Those were the jobs where adults had a chance back in time to stand and wait for the bottle boy at the supermarket to count the bottles while having a small chat. So as you can see many of the small ‘Water element services’ where people connect as human beings and talk and inspire each other during the day are slowly being cut away even impacting more adult people who risk feeling more lonely than they did back in time… and at the same time young people are unable to learn how to earn their own money at a time when they ought to be able to pay for their own stuff. Furthermore, they don’t get a possibility of receiving daily human impulses from other people than their friends, parents, and teachers, and then I truly understand why many of them unrealistically hope to be a famous singer through X Factor and American Idol, etc.
So nowadays we are in fact moving in the opposite direction of what took place at Atlantis where they couldn’t control the Water element. Because now we try to exclude the Water element from the society which could also risk creating a flood at a later point in time because there has to be an even balance between the four elements, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air.
